OUR STORY.
Welcome to Thorndon Farm - a farm-to-fork connection.
Experience the joy of supporting farmers and savouring quality.
In a world driven by convenience and mass production, there is something extraordinary about connecting directly with the farmers who work to bring fresh, quality food to your table.

We are proud to be the fourth generation of lamb producers on our farm 'Thorndon'. Our lamb has always been traditionally sold for export. We are fortunate to graze our flock on the rich river flats that straddle the Talbragar River and Coolaburagundy Creek. 'Thorndon' is a soldier settlement division first taken up by Ernest Rookyard in July 1921. He and his wife, Eva, began their farming journey by pitching a tent by a natural spring. Today, over 100 years later, James, his wife Heidi and their three sons continue their legacy.

For generations, we have been producing the highest quality lamb, most destined for the export market. We are excited to offer you our lamb as we launch our online market. You can now purchase and receive our delicious and ethically raised lamb in your home. Our online market provides a convenient way to source high-quality lamb you know has been raised with ethical and sustainable practices.

Our lamb is sourced directly from our farm, so we have complete control over its provenance and can guarantee its quality. Our customers deserve to know exactly where their food comes from and how it was raised.

At Thorndon Farm, we understand that our customers are increasingly concerned with the sustainability of their food choices, and we are proud to play our part in promoting sustainable and responsible farming. By purchasing our lamb, you get an incredible product and the confidence that you are supporting a small, family-run generational farm.
We are excited to offer our ethically raised and delicious lamb to our city friends. We are a family-owned farm in Dunedoo that provides a paddock-to-plate experience. Our high-quality lamb is grown on our farm and delivered in easy-to-use portions. All meats are vacuum sealed for maximum freshness and can last up to 8 weeks in the fridge or 4-6 months in the freezer. Check the use-by-date on your delivery for accurate storage times.
